What has changed recently in GLP-1 prices and coverage?

The dated record on this site runs to 23 entries across five kinds of change: a verified price moving, a state changing what its Medicaid programme covers, a published offer reaching its end date, a documented event on a seller's public record, and this site correcting itself. The next dated event is Wegovy pill titration price, which ends 2026-08-31 — 5 days away, at $149 a month. No approved price movement has been recorded yet: every figure in the catalogue is at the value it was first verified, and this line will change the first time the nightly checker proposes a move a person accepts. The reason to keep this log at all is narrow and demonstrable: Lilly cut the Zepbound savings card's annual ceiling from $1,950 to $1,300 and its monthly cap from $150 to $100, and a year later the superseded figure was still being published by a site ranking fourth for the query — in its own FAQ, on a page whose programme block carried the corrected number. Neither figure had a date against it. Everything below does.

    Who runs the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, what it costs, and which drugs it covers

    Was: Listed as an Eli Lilly programme sourced to LillyDirect, priced 'Published by Lilly on application', with no end date and tirzepatide as the only molecule Now: A CMS demonstration at $50 a month running to 31 December 2027, covering all formulations of Foundayo and Wegovy and the KwikPen formulation of Zepbound — with the catch that the $50 counts toward neither the Part D deductible nor the out-of-pocket maximum Our own /insurance page already described the Bridge correctly, as a CMS demonstration at $50 a month, and cited CMS for it. The savings entry contradicted it on the same site: wrong sponsor, no price where a published one exists, and one molecule where three are covered. A reader landing on the savings page was told the price was not published while another page of ours stated it. The error came from reading LillyDirect, which mentions the Bridge, rather than the demonstration's own documentation.

    The $299 all-in price, and the link behind it

    Was: $299 a month all-in through Sam's Club Member Health, linked to samsclub.com/memberhealth Now: Price unverified, with the card explaining that the programme page no longer resolves A weekly link check found samsclub.com/memberhealth returning 404. Nothing Sam's Club still publishes carries a bundled programme price, and a figure whose source has disappeared is not a verified figure — so it comes down rather than sitting there aging quietly.

    What the $224 figure covered, and the ranking that rested on it

    Was: $224 a month all-in, described as the cheapest legitimate route to branded Wegovy, and the highest-scoring card on the site Now: $199 membership plus roughly $349 for the medication — about $548 a month cash-pay, or near $224 if insurance covers the drug We had taken an all-in figure from a third-party tracker. Reading Calibrate's own pricing page showed it publishes the membership fee only and states that lab tests and prescription medication are not included. Auditing the rest of the category found the same everywhere: eight of eight readable pricing pages quote a membership fee or a medication price, never both. halfrx now adds the two itself and shows the arithmetic with a source for each half.

    Was: $349 flat for every standard dose, listed as a pro Now: $199 for the first two fills for new patients through 31 Dec 2026, then $349 for 0.25–2.4 mg and $399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg We had repeated the manufacturer's simplest framing. Reading NovoCare directly showed an introductory rate we had not mentioned and a high dose sitting outside the flat price entirely.

    The top of the self-pay price range

    Was: $299–$449 a month by dose Now: $299–$699. The $449 ceiling holds only under the Zepbound Journey Program, which requires a refill within 45 days; without it 10 mg and above cost $699 The advertised ceiling is conditional and we had published it as though it were fixed — the exact framing this site exists to strip out. Reading Lilly's own page also showed a month is defined as 28 days, so a year is 13 fills rather than 12.

The card now scores zero on cost, because a maintenance price nobody publishes is not a cheap price.

    Was: A number assigned by hand on each card Now: Arithmetic over the stored fields, published in full at /method, recomputed whenever the data changes A rating a reader cannot check is not a rating. Converting it also exposed three ranking errors the hand-typed version had hidden, including compounded programmes outranking branded ones on price alone.

    Average weight loss in the pivotal trial

    Was: 10% mean weight loss Now: 6.6–8.6% by dose over 56 weeks (CONQUER and SEQUEL) The 10% figure was written from general knowledge without a source attached. Reading the published trial gave a lower and dose-dependent range. The card had no source at all until this was fixed, which is the underlying failure — the number was wrong because nothing was holding it to account.

How this log works

Why does a price need a date?
Because the alternative is what happened to Lilly's Zepbound savings card. Its annual cap fell from $1,950 to $1,300, and a year later the old figure was still in circulation — quoted by a site ranking fourth for the query, in its own FAQ, on a page that also quoted the new one in a different block. Neither carried a date. A figure with no read date cannot be checked, and cannot be noticed going stale.
What counts as a change here?
A verified price moving, a state changing what its Medicaid programme covers, a published offer reaching its end date, a documented event on a seller's public record, and this site being wrong about something. Not: a page being edited, a design change, or a first recording of a figure that had never been recorded before — those are not news and are left out rather than used to fill the month.
How often is this updated?
The price checker runs nightly and proposes changes; a person approves each one before it reaches a page, and the approval is what lands here. State coverage and press events are added when the document appears. If a month below is thin, that is the month rather than a gap in the record.

Every entry carries the date the change happened and a link to the document behind it. Where a stream has nothing to report, this page says so rather than filling the month.
