Accessibility statement

halfrx should be usable by anyone comparing what treatment costs, whatever device or assistive technology they use. The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. Last updated 11 September 2026.

Where it stands

Partially conformant, self-assessed. No independent audit has been done, so this statement describes what is built rather than a certified result.

What is built in

• A “skip to the content” link as the first thing on every page.
• The page language declared, and one heading structure per page, starting from a single top-level heading.
• Text rather than images of text: prices, tables and charts are real text, and charts carry a written caption.
• Data tables that turn into labeled rows on a narrow screen instead of hiding columns.
• Links and buttons in the navigation sized for touch, at least 44 pixels tall on small screens.
• No autoplaying media, no carousels and no time limits on reading anything.
• The appeal and prior-authorization forms use visible labels and work without sending anything to a server.

Known limits

• The site has not yet been systematically tested with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS.
• The chat streams its answer word by word; how that is announced by a screen reader has not been tested.
• Some wide comparison tables scroll sideways on a phone.
• Linked documents from regulators and states, often PDFs, are outside halfrx's control and may not be accessible.
