Read from hims.com and forhers.com on 4 September 2026, through the descriptions Google publishes for those pages — both refuse a direct request. Hims prices the membership and the medication separately and never together: the Weight Loss Membership is $39 for a first month and $149 a month after, and its own page says the medication price "includes medication only". Forbes, reading the same pages in April 2026, put the medication at $149 to $1,899 a month on top. The $448 to $548 recorded here until today came from a third-party report and matched nothing Hims publishes.
What this page used to say
- 2026-09-14 — The membership-fee answer on the Hims & Hers page said the price here adds the fee and the medication. Now: The fee alone is not what a month costs, and no monthly total for Hims & Hers is recorded here.
- 2026-09-11 — A con quoting a price the card no longer holds. Was: $448+ ongoing is the joint-highest price tracked. The $188 first month is a promotional rate that ends. Now: Hims never prices the membership and the medication together: $39 for a first month, $149 a month after, and the medication billed separately — so no monthly total is published to hold them to.
- 2026-09-11 — A point in its favor that no longer stood. Was: The most-rated app of any seller here — 94,041 ratings on Apple's listing, against 14,746 for the next. That is a measure of how many people have used it, not of how well it works. Now: Its iPhone app carries 94,685 ratings on Apple's listing, second only to PlushCare's among the sellers' own care apps — a measure of how many people have used it, not of how well it works.
- 2026-09-11 — What became of Novo's patent suit against Hims. Was: Novo has since also sued Hims over GLP-1 patents. Now: Novo sued Hims for patent infringement in February 2026 and voluntarily dismissed the case on 9 March 2026.
- 2026-09-10 — The FTC lawsuit was cited to a law firm's article filed as a primary source. Was: FTC lawsuit against Hims & Hers: compliance analysis (frierlevitt.com), marked primary. Now: The FTC's own case page and complaint; the law firm's article kept as secondary.
- 2026-09-09 — A claim about patient volume this site cannot see. Was: Largest patient volume in the category, so the intake and shipping machinery is well tested. Now: The most-rated app of any seller here — 94,041 ratings on Apple's listing, against 14,746 for the next. That is a measure of how many people have used it, not of how well it works.
- 2026-09-04 — Replaced a third-party total with the membership fee Hims publishes. Was: $448 to $548 a month, from a third-party report dated 10 June 2026. Now: No total. This page gives the membership fee and says the medication is billed on top.
What does Hims & Hers actually charge?
halfrx records no verified price for Hims & Hers: nothing it publishes states an all-in monthly figure, so this provider carries no price here rather than a guess. What it costs once titrated is not published, which is a fact about the seller rather than a gap in the data. It runs month to month. It carries 4 flags on this site: FTC lawsuit, state action, cancellation complaints and FDA warning letter. It scores 4.5 out of 10 on a published formula that is arithmetic over the facts on this page, not an editor's opinion. Insurance is optional here. The medication is the branded, FDA-approved product rather than a compounded copy. The program includes clinical care and dispensing rather than a prescription alone. The page rests on 7 cited sources, at least one of them a manufacturer, regulator or journal. Anything past 45 days without a re-check is marked stale here rather than quietly aging. Molecule: semaglutide.

What is good about Hims & Hers?
What are the downsides of Hims & Hers?
- −On 29 July 2026 the FTC, joined by Utah and California, sued Hims alleging it enrolled consumers in recurring prescription subscriptions without express informed consent, obscured recurring refill charges, and made cancellation unnecessarily difficult.[6]
- −The same complaint alleges Hims misrepresented how it handled sensitive health information and shared it with advertising platforms.[6]
- −Hims never prices the membership and the medication together: $39 for a first month, $149 a month after, and the medication billed separately — so no monthly total is published to hold them to.
- −Refunds are pro-rated case-by-case rather than by a published rule.[4]
How this score is built
- 0.0/2.5Cost — no verified all-in price, so no points
- 2.5/2.5Medication — FDA-approved branded medication
- 0.8/1What they supply — strongest molecule offered: semaglutide
- 0.8/1Commitment — month-to-month

- 0.0/2Conduct — −4.8: FTC lawsuit −1.5, state action −1.0, cancellation complaints −0.6, intro price expired −0.2, FDA warning letter −1.5
Capped at 4.5: an active regulator action or a failing BBB grade limits the score whatever else it earns.
